Ella Valley
Vineyard's Choice Red Blend 32/35
Ella Valley Vineyards Vineyard's Choice 32/35 2012, Israel 95
Time for some #Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Here is a great Merlot blend from Israel.
Deep purple in color with a wide reddish rim.
Pretty nose of blackberries, sweet plums, dried figs, raisins, vanilla, cinnamon, sweet oak, spices, chocolates, black pepper, mocha, coffee, milk chocolates and tobacco.
Full bodied, bold and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, raisins, vanilla, toasted cedar, licorice, cola, chocolates, earth, mocha, coffee and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a wonderful Red Blend from Israel. Showing great complexity and mouthfeel. Rich and extracted, yet elegant. Resembles a good quality Napa Bordeaux blend.
This 8 year old is peaking now and will be good in the next few years. I had it before, as a 5 year old, and this time it's so much better.
This is a big red wine, with teeth staining color. Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show the tannins.
Thank you Sean for sharing this wonderful wine with me. This is a delicious wine to have with friends.
Enjoyable by itself or with food. I paired it with a cheeses and light appetizers.
A blend of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 17 months in oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
95 points.
$50.
