Eleven Eleven Wines tasting at Classic tonight. Winemaker is Kirk Venge. 👌
This Pinot was...unique. Best way to describe is that it was as though I was tasting a barrel sample. Reason I say that is because I got a fair bit of oak on this. Different for a Bacigalupi Pinot. Typical black cherry, cola, cedar notes, but the crisp acidity and oak was different.

A solid Russian River Pinot from a new producer. Picked up in their pretty, new urban tasting room on the edge of Oak Knoll. Cherry cola on the nose. Pleasingly elegant on the palate. Not overripe and too big like many 2012 Pinots. Well worth a try!
