May 13th, 2019Classic heady notes of rose water, lychee, honey and spices. Full bodied while still energetic with a strong acid spine that supports all the heft. Shows more dried mango and apricot on the palate. Finishes with that rose water flourish
Still some RS, but at only 13.5%abv and with the acid structure really ends up well balanced, and not showing the oily, bitter or hot notes that you may find in other gewurtzes. Given the full bodied strength and flavor profile I’m not sure I would drink this alone, but an epic pairing with Sichuan braised beef - taming the spices while evoking the florality of the peppercorns
