This red wine replaces a bottle that was “off”... a different red wine but at same price point. It is definitely better than the flawed wine it replaces, but still not as good as $35 price tag warrants. The wine looks pretty. Bottle looks classy and casual. Smell is earth smoke ash. Taste suggests richness, then, rather than velvet you get something sort of abrasive. It’s trying to be a good wine, but just does not succeed.
