Egri Bikavér Bulls Blood

Another round, sir! A fine sangria-like table wine from Hungary, at the Hungarian themed Armoury DE no less. Goooood stuff. Get some if you can get some. (*disclaimer: not responsible for content of this review after third bottle)

An amazingly similar nose to a left bank Bordeaux meets Dolcetto. Perfume, red cherry. Dry, med (-) acidity, med body, med alcohol. Short finish. But a delightful walk-around wine. How is this not more popular?

Med ruby, cherry, black pepper. Med acidity, med tannins and body. Med - alcohol. Med + finish. Not bad for its price point!

Great for mulled wine!

Slight acidic taste mingled with cherries. A good medium bodied wine.

Quite possibly the worst wine I’ve ever had. Way too acidic.

Traditional Hungarian red wine with slight cherry taste.

Medium red, black cherry, plum, not high in tannin. Went very well with chicken paprikash (obviously) Definitely worth it, especially for the price. Buy again!

Dry but Fruitier than expected.

Tart, spicy cherries. Medium/medium-plus acid, slightly salty.
