Mar 12th, 2021Deep purple red. Notes of eucalyptus, cassis, mushroom, wood and cherry in nose. Chewy tannins, cherry and wood flavors dominate. Good fruit with length but overoaked for my taste. 8.5/10 at first opening. Much improved fruit, wood flavors substantially diminished after 24 hours. Requires decanting, 9.1/10

I just spent the whole day bottling this wine, so this is hot off the presses and boy am I tired. Big and powerful, but not over the top. Obviously needs some time.

Nov 25th, 2020Opened a magnum tonight, wine almost all the way up the cork. Corked pushed in a little when we put the wine key in but it still tastes ok. Funk on the nose, almost some fresh cut grass. Nice and smooth. Nice wine.
