Big Papa Old Block Cabernet Sauvignon

Lots of blueberries on the nose, nice mouth, ok finish

2009 just the ticket for steaks on the egg, mushrooms, potato, some horseradish. Going BIG tonight. This cab has it all and why I go back to cab when I want a wine suitable for papa!

Big bold cab. Blackberry, cherry and hint of pepper. Medium tannins and opened up well.

Time to drink. Drinking good now but will not last much longer. Slight raisin taste the longer it sat out.

One of our last few bottles from when Brennon was the winemaker. He knew how to make a fantastic Cab! Delicious with beef.

Wow. Drinking so nice. Fantastic with our ribeye. So much flavor.

Wow did this age well went fantastic with our roast. Wow.

One of their best vintages so far! Bit of barnyard and dark berry on the nose. Maybe a little spice too. Nice and smooth mouthfeel. Nice time to drink, would probably still hold in the cellar for a bit longer too. So lovely.

Holy wow was this wine nice. Didn’t even need food with it.

Had this as a magnum, so good! Could have kept this for another year actually. I would decant. Still a little tight after sitting open in the bottle for a few hours but is starting to open up. Really is starting to smooth out. Lots of fruit on the front palate. Nice wine.
