09’ Edge Hill Abel 1833 Mount Veeder. Ruby red in color with a slight purpleish rim. Unlike the O’shaughnesy this wine is close to a PNP. Dark black fruits, tobacco, mint, herbs. The acidity is still apparent 4/10 The tannins have all but melted away in this cab/blend? Has become quite beautiful/seamless. Don’t see this getting any better. Drink them up in the next 5 - 10 years.

Wow!!!!!! Opened this alongside a 2009 Insignia and everyone agrees this was light years beyond it.
I'm a huge fan of Edge Hill's entire lineup 😍

09' Edge Hill Abel Mt. Veeder Cabernet.
We had a couple of these in my cellar. Yesterday another one appeared on my doorstep. Thank you
@Martin G Rivard
So naturally, I had to pop a bottle tonight!

Dark brick red. Moderate sediment. I poured a small glass & decanted the rest of it. After an hour of decanting..I get a little of everything. Black fruits, dark blueberries, black licorice, mint?, coffee, toasted barrel, chocolate. I haven't QUITE tasted anything like this before. Excellent!! This must be a Cabernet blend? Drinking wonderfully now. Many great years in front of it.

This was the fourth one of the evening. It was incredibly well received and truly showed amazingly. Very focused and Well refined. The sibling was awesome but now we know why big brother knows best!

4th wine of the night. Opened 6 hours prior and this vintage is in full stride. Simply beautiful and drinking very, very well. Definitely pick up in the dark fruit, mocha and espresso. Loved it!! May I have some more please!!

Needed every bit of the 6 hour bottle air that I gave it. Bright burning intensity. Definitely early but outstanding!

A giant infant with an incredible life ahead. Mountain blueberry nose with a slight tobaccy nose.
