Pinot Noir from Patagonia. Transparent dark ruby. Nose of black cherry and pepper. Echoed on the medium palate with a hint of vanilla. Medium minus acidity — a bit low for my tastes — and next to zero tannins, so give it a bit of a chill if you’re having it with dinner. Otherwise, it’s a pleasant, easy drinking PN that’s ready for Tuesday evening wind down with a plate of medium cheeses. Drink now.

Nice surprise from Total Wine, even better than their excellent Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Delicious and more robust than typical easy drinking pinot noirs, some tannins and dark cherries and licorice taste with notes of vanilla and caramel sweetness.

There is a tartness about wine that comes from Argentina that I can’t appreciate. This wasn’t my favorite Pinot noir and likely wouldn’t buy again.
