Deep ruby in the glass. The wine is still very youthful, with notes of blackberries and dried herbs. There is a decent amount of oak that’s teetering on the edge of too much. Medium acidity, medium integrated tannin. Finish is distinguished. Unfaulted and a better than satisfactory example of this varietal. Drink now through 2026.

Pours scarlet in color. ON THE NOSE: Cherry, candied Apple, cinnamon and a little hint of menthol. ON THE PALATE: earth, black cherry, with a food friendly acidity level. Medium (+) body and medium finish.

This wine was a stand out in the tasting room in Paso. Paired really well with a tomato cream based pasta. Very nice balance and not surprisingly a great Italian food wine.
