Deep ruby in the glass. The wine is still very youthful, with notes of blackberries and dried herbs. There is a decent amount of oak that’s teetering on the edge of too much. Medium acidity, medium integrated tannin. Finish is distinguished. Unfaulted and a better than satisfactory example of this varietal. Drink now through 2026.

Good smokiness on the nose and palate. Great fruit forward flavors of Berry and currant. Medium finish. Medium body.

Pours scarlet in color. ON THE NOSE: Cherry, candied Apple, cinnamon and a little hint of menthol. ON THE PALATE: earth, black cherry, with a food friendly acidity level. Medium (+) body and medium finish.

This wine was a stand out in the tasting room in Paso. Paired really well with a tomato cream based pasta. Very nice balance and not surprisingly a great Italian food wine.

Starting to lose quality. Drink and enjoy. Still great but it’s passing its peak.

Really great for such a young red. Fruit forward, light tannin, nice tawny edges in the glass. Buy 2. Drink one now and hold one for 5 years (if you can stand it!) and try again.
