Rich, dense, filled with dark ripe blackberry and black current flavors. Fine oak, great body yet refined. Long legs and excellent finish.

Early evening wine tasting at Neat Bottle Shop in Alys Beach.

Like sticking your nose in, and subsequently tasting, a jar of Smuckers Berry Medley jam. Never been a big fan of Paso Robles and I don’t think I’ll start now. Austin Hope’s Cab is the only wine I’ve actually loved from that AVA and that’s because it’s not like this one: hot, overly jammy and just a one trick pony. My wife really liked it, though, so I’m glad for that.

This was an excellent wine and had just the right amount of sweetness behind it. Went to the winery to buy it, good stuff.
