Early Mountain
Foothills Red Blend
Very dark purple.
Nose of blackberry, a hint of leafy black currant, some plums. Not much earth character here.
Medium bodied, dry, medium minus tannins with a plush character.
Paired with slow smoked pork shoulder bbq. The wine stood up to the spice and smoke just fine.

Unusual blend of 34% merlot, 21% petit verdot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc, 4% petit mansent and 2% tannat.
Dark purple. Nose expresses dark fruits, cherry black berry, which are ripe, no green tones. Pretty lavishly oaked with some assertive toasted, vanilla elements (American). A bit too oakey for me but well made.

One notch too high on the barnyard scale for my taste. 64% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Franc #vawine
