This drinks much better than the last time I had it about 3 years ago. Ripe plum, blackberry, blueberry pie, cinnamon, coconut, and black pepper on the nose. Rich and smooth on the palate, though a bit syrupy.
Del Barba is one of the premiere vineyards in the Contra Costa AVA.

Jul 28th, 2023A very attractive nose of plum, blueberry, black pepper, leather, vanilla, and hint of floral. The palate however was a bit flat and astringent. Not bad, but given that it’s an Aaron Pitt wine, I was slightly disappointed.
A blend of Cab Franc, Zin, and Syrah from Oakley, Southwest of Napa, and it certainly did not taste like one from Napa.
