This drinks much better than the last time I had it about 3 years ago. Ripe plum, blackberry, blueberry pie, cinnamon, coconut, and black pepper on the nose. Rich and smooth on the palate, though a bit syrupy.
Del Barba is one of the premiere vineyards in the Contra Costa AVA.

A very attractive nose of plum, blueberry, black pepper, leather, vanilla, and hint of floral. The palate however was a bit flat and astringent. Not bad, but given that it’s an Aaron Pitt wine, I was slightly disappointed.
A blend of Cab Franc, Zin, and Syrah from Oakley, Southwest of Napa, and it certainly did not taste like one from Napa.
