Wow! 10 years did the trick for this one. It is at its peak. Strong fruit notes of plum and blackberries are surprising (2010 was an especially cool year). Mellow notes of tobacco/cigar box and black cherry make for a very quaffable wine. Yum!!

May 2nd, 2020Huge flavor and succulent tannins in this one. Red stone fruits, bacon fat, white pepper, rose petals and a hint of pencil lead all greet the pallet over the span of a minute or so after each sip. Very floral and spicy on the nose. This could easily go another 4-5 years, probably a lot longer. Yum!

Jul 18th, 2019This is not a Syrah dominant blend anymore, it is Mourvedre dominant now, and so much better for it. Big, spicy, gamey and intense. Tastes like it just came home from tromping through the sagebrush. Grab it and loooove it! Yum!
