This is still quite young and it definitely punches above its weight class easily standing up to Malbec’s twice its price.
The nose brings scents of wet gravel, fresh violets, leather and ripe red plum.
On the pallet, white pepper, jammy plumb and baking spices predominate. Yum!!

This hasn’t even started showing any age yet, it is a big and tannic and beautiful as the day it was released, basically. Firm, grippy tannins grab hold early and are very slow to let go. Blueberry and blackberry fruit notes peek out and jab coyly among pepper and earth and notes of a vegetal aftertaste (thinking of artichokes). Yum!!!
