Sep 18th, 2015Appearance: deep ruby. Nose: clean, fully developed, medium low intensity, black cherry, raspberry, raisins, hazelnut. Palate: dry, medium plus acidity, medium tannins, medium high alcohol, medium flavor intensity; raspberry, red cherry, wet leaves, hazelnut; medium plus finish. Quality: good -- drink now. A delightful surprise in flavor after hiding behind a rather low-intensity nose. I would drink this any day of the week.

Intense nose. Spicy and mineral, some tabaco, stewed blackberry, chocolate, and wet soil. Mild tannins, slightly flat acidity. Ate it with a lean cut of red meat and it did well.
