Brand new wine to me. Tasted blind and knew it was a young, west coast Syrah, but was lost on the producer. Believe this may be the first time they've done a Syrah? This sucker was a BRUISER for about the first 30mins. It made its presence known with powerful aromas of blackberries, blueberries, spices. Almost black in the glass. Very tannic initially. At about the hour and a half mark, it's as though this changed into a completely different wine. Oak that wasn't apparent early on came around with some nice vanilla notes, along with espresso, cocoa and licorice. Love it when wine changes...the beauty of enjoying something that keeps evolving instead of instant gratification 👌
