Wow super strong and a bit harsh for a montepulciano. We had to let it breathe overnight. Would not purchase again.

Nice plum notes and dark fruit. Not the best acidity but balanced tannins. Holds its own. And yes, you read it correctly, that's a Montepulciano from the Texas high plains. What a world we live in.

Opens with dark fruit (blackberry and stewed plum?), then the tannins show up and the fruitiness fades away. Char and tannin on the finish.
