Old gold and heavy on the fizz but light on the bubbles. Plenty of applesauce on the nose, along with more earthy notes of mushrooms and toasted nuts. Let's be real here, this is some seriously cheap stuff. Very cheap and heavily carbonated but I've always been a sucker for methode traditionelle.
This says Brut but there's no way that's true. Way sweeter than I was expecting. Apples, peaches, and pears on the palate. When it comes to room temperature there's some pretty bad acid happening here so drink very cold. All in all, a halfway decent sparkler made for porch sitting.
