David Sampedro Gil makes very lightfooted modern Rioja that is exciting and accessible. Well rounded with tons of character.

Medium bodied, peppery, medium tannins.

80% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano and 5% Viura.

Full bodied, rich and smooth

Has enough sugar to keep the body going, nice rose and kind of rough lot of oak

Very good modern style Rioja. Furthest away from a tannic-vanilla-oak-bomb that you can get. Vegetable and herbal notes recede a bit into the background after a few hours. Red fruit then becomes more prominent, along with rose petals and other floral notes.

I liked the 2010 Vintage of this wine much better. It was jucier, more mineral and much more precise Overall. This is still a good wine, though.
