A translucent ruby, the '08 Drystone (Berridge Vineyard Estates) Pinot Noir would in a blind tasting likely be slotted in Burgundy rather than California. Sweet-tart red cherry, forest floor and lovely floral aromas predominate the nose. Light-bodied, but full-flavored, with a pleasant silky mouthfeel. Mild acidity freshens the long finish.
