In a sea of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, this one stands out for being well in check. It starts with a typical New Zealand gooseberry nose, then into a sweet attack with an interesting passionfruit mid-palate. Pretty refreshing and I would go back for a second glass, which is unusual in New Zealand SB.

Crisp and refreshing, exactly what you would expect from this wine/region. A nice dependable example of NZ sauv blanc

Pale yellow glass tinged with green. On the nose, gooseberry, passion fruit, grapefruit, melon, and grass. On the palate, a crisp acidity brings grapefruit and lemon with a slightly bitter minerality. Minerality predominates with citrus on the medium long finish. Good glass of wine as a sipper or with fish but minerality will be too pronounced for some. Fair value at $13.97 USD.
