Dr. Konstantin Frank
Finger Lakes Semi-Dry Riesling
It’s crisp semi sweet apple and peach goodness could pass for a Dr. Loosen Spatlese on the front. Falls short after that. But impressive. Go Finger Lakes!

Aug 25th, 2019Picked this bottle up at the winery on a FLX region exploration trip about two years ago, drinking well tonight.
Nose is candied citrus, wet slate, honey and spring tree flowers.
Palate has sweet apple, pineapple, medium RS level, medium acidity, medium minerality with nice finish.
A great QPR for $13-14, plus a good FLX vintage. Nice to be able to compare the Dry to the Semi-Dry this evening.

Star bright, nearly water clear in the glass. Quince, straw, and dried flowers on the nose. Echoed on the palate adding a bit of dry honey. Medium plus acidity (doesn’t hit until back palate and finish), medium body, medium long finish. All of (North American) Riesling’s character to satisfy Riesling nerds, just dry enough for those who think they should’ve “graduated” from “sweet wines” and a mouth-watering backbone of acidity that freshens without searing off your gums. White fleshed fish in a cream sauce or a Waldorf salad with baked chicken breast would be nice. Roasted pork loin would be natural.

Jan 2nd, 2017Says semi-dry but I still found it a little sweet. VERY refreshing though. The sweetness was there, but didn't push me away from sipping more.
