Light ruby in color with a light red rim.
Fruity on the nose with oak, vanilla, licorice, blueberries, cherries, currants and slate.
Light to medium bodied with faint legs.
Bone dry and tart on the palate with blueberries, cherries, strawberries, cranberries and light oak.
Medium finish with soft tannins.
Drinks more like a California Pinot Noir than a Cabernet Sauvignon. Interesting and good quality. The nose is much different than the palate, which had very little secondary flavors.
Producer is a DJ turned into a Master Sommelier.
90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Syrah and 5% Merlot. Aged for 6 months in 25% new oak barrels.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

This wine, unfortunately, lacks the verve and style of the man behind the label, master sommelier and former popular DJ, Chris Blanchard. A polished wine
with muted aromas of cherry confections and hints of vanilla, oak, and a dusty minerality. On the palate there is a whisper of fruitiness with modest acid and tannins; a mouth-coating sensation seems to come more from the oak treatment (6 months in 25% new oak) than the tannins. The body is light, with little concentration or complexity. On day two, the wine had lost a good deal of its initial brightness, taking on a more savory profile. Overall, it's the kind of red you can grab confidently early in the week when tacos or burgers are on the menu. Pop and pour. (13.5% abv; $21; sample)
