Double Mountain Brewery
Devil's Kriek Belgian Style Sour Ale
Bright tart cherries take center stage along with some toffee. On the palate, very dry and yet bursting with concentrated cherry juice. Sour but in balance with fruit. This is a very good kriek, not quite world-class but almost and certainly one of the best sours I’ve had in America. Pity it’s so damn expensive ($18). This bottle was dated 2 months ago so fruit is fresh and any brett funk that might eventually show is still in hiding.
