Eucalyptus for days! Rich, leathery notes and a solid acid spice. Can't wait to try this in 5 years.

Had this one on my radar for quite some time...and it met the expectations. All components are still a bit on their own. Quite tannic and unresolved wood but enough fruit and an open character to make it quite approachable. Time will bring them together, which will make this wine harmonious!

From magnum. The Flagship Red from Donnafugata. 90% Nero d’Avola; 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Syrah. Lovely wine but very New World and modern with loads of quality French new oak. Blackberry fruit. Could have been s high quality Barossa Shiraz except the Nero d’Avola turns it into s medium bodied not full bodied wine. Would like to see it in 5+ years when the oak may have settled down.
