Paula Mendoza Malbec

Dark ruby in color with medium intensity and a purplish rim.

Mild on the nose with blueberries, cherries, strawberries, oak, light vanilla, white pepper, smoke and metals.

Medium-bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry and bitter on the palate, with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, oak, green pepper, cloves and earth.

Medium finish with grainy tannins, black pepper and a bitter ending.

This is a simple Malbec yet drinkable now. Not bad at all, but nothing to write home about. Might need another year in the bottle, but I'm not sure it has enough acidity to carry it.

13.8% alcohol by volume.

Really enjoyed it.

A medium bodied Malbec- smooth in the mouth with a bit of acidity down the throat. Medium oak and tannins- pretty good for a bar wine.

Beautiful rich smooth dark fruit. This wine would be great with a Porterhouse Steak at Peter Lugar's.

Deep red with soft tannins and big fruit. Ok for the price but very one dimensional 2014

Purple colour with light plum and cassis bouquet. Certainly quaffable and a pleasant enough taste if with a slightly sweet edge - slightly dilute Ribena comes to mind - but lacks depth and structure: where are the tannins?

Nivet wine than others on the menu.

Choppy Malbec. Just a big basket of everyday produce.
