Slumming it tonight. Three 2013 Mendoza Malbec. This is from 4430' elevation. Black fruit, coffee, vanilla, violets, and oak, do a good job masking a green streak that lurks beneath.

This was a wonderful bottle of wine. We had it with Mongolian Beef dish. Did not need a decanter. It was just as it read on the label... black fruits, violets and spices with a firm tannin balanced with fresh acidity. Very smooth finish.

smells of blackcurrant, violet, vinyl, leather, dusty dry earth
flavors show animal, vinyl, wood, plum and blackcurrant. could of used a bit more fruit....a little unbalanced.
