Same as Spain's Albariño. Mid Gold. Aromatic nose of pear with nutty nuances. Medium bodied yet unctuous and mouth filling with medium + acid. Some slight leesy notes - 20% in old French barrels with lees stirring evidently. Finishes dry. Tasted again 90 weeks later with similar notes although a little more acid than expected. Certainly many of the characteristics of a Mediterranean White. I have found the Spanish Albariños I have had to be a little more luscious.

Visiting Lisbon for the first time and asked for a distinctly local wine, and this is what the gentleman suggested. Lovely, crisp and clean, like a Chardonnay, without the oak. Green apple, lemon, and happiness! So glad we had a chance to try a taste of beautiful Portugal!

Very special Avarinho. Creamy, tropicai and an elegant crisp. More complex, a bit powerful but delicious!

Sea salt, pear, lemon peel, apricot. Amaaazing acidity, absolutely a pleasure to drink, right away. A little short, but crisp, light, and lovely.

Nice vinho verde. It's light as intended. Zesty acid, some light fruit.
