After a week of great Riesling I desperately craved...great Riesling. But I didn't exactly have the right thing to hand (I swore I'd never make that mistake again) and the rest of last night's over-oaked Pinot wouldn't do. This stepped in and did a fine job. A touch reductive at first but pretty when it opens up; all pristine stone fruit, lemon zest and an unmistakable caress of nougat oak. Appears delicate on the fairly light-bodied palate, but it's persistent and very pretty; nectarine, limes, that nougat again and a faint whisper of passion fruit. Delicious, actually.

Feb 13th, 2015i like this one. it's tart with just a slight buttery-ness. I'm thinking of it like a combination of a traditional sauvignon blanc, bright and crisp, with just a hint of an old school buttery chardonnay. definitely one to enjoy al fresco.
