Clos Reyssié Pouilly-Fuissé Chardonnay

Waited too long. Already peaked. Bruised yellow apple, honeysuckle, corn. Maybe slightly premoxed.

Bright yellow. Clear. A bit closed on the nose, ripe apples, peach, honey, oak. Dried fruits, orange on palette. Acid. Tangy or spicy. Silky, medium finish. Tasted in May 2021 at BigMacs&Burgundy book event by Alliance Francaise.

Pleasing on the mouthfeel, kind of silky. Balance of elements was good, not too acidic. The fruits are golden and ripe on this Chardonnay from Fuisse. Enjoyable and worth the price, it is.

Great mouthfeel, silky and supple with a buttery nose. Some acidity. Hints of oak. Very soft finish.

Chalky sour apple, phenols, really good mouthfeel

Chardonnay, not my thing. Got better after he first few sips but I didn't love it.

I liked this vintage a lot. Medium body, medium plus intensity and finish. Good body and balance. Aromatics of oak and of yellow flowers. Baked apple and lime skin.
