Can't say I've done Tempranillo from Oregon but I'll have to admit I was highly impressed. Dark and rich - gamey, mocha, and cigar box nose. Patrick Reuter uses American Oak from Minnesota to age this Temp/Syrah (which he claims gives wine a dark chocolate quality) with French oak too. I'd agree, some nice dark chocolate, ripe dark cherry, licorice, and pepper to the finish. For $23, this one really delivers. Only 400 's produced.
