Recioto della Valpolicella Classico Corvina Blend

I'm enjoying it with a "risotto all'Amarone" and its moderate sweetness pairs perfectly with the salty food. Wow. Stop considering Recioto as a dessert wine! :-) #valpolicella

Tasty dessert wine, not as syrupy as port

Text book example of this wine. Red fruit, light spice and a touch of caramel.

Recioto med visst bett

I thought this was a very good enjoyable wine.

Appearance was clear with deep ruby intensity.

The nose is clean with pronounced intensity. A complex nose of red cherry and cranberry, fig, prune, raisin and liquorice.

The palate is sweet with medium (+) acidity and medium alcohol. The tannins are medium and very smooth. The body is full with pronounced flavours intensity and is just as complex as the nose. The finish is long.

Over all a very good wine. Highly recommend.
