Offputting funky nose on opening, initial palate of organic acid fumes overlaying stewed prunes and leather. After 2-3 hours the funk blew off, leaving lovely mellow brown plummy/ stone fruit smoky prolonged finish. Complex, maybe a bit over the hill; but this is a must-breathe wine that has to have hours open before evaluating.
