2011 - An incredibly elegant and mineral Cornas that has some beautifully expressive purple and black fruit, bags of fresh violet, chocolate sponge not long out of the oven, fresh beetroot juice. In the mouth this has incredibly fresh acidity that play off the almost gloppy but fine grained tannins that push through smoky, plush dark fruit. Back end has lots of grip.

Lovely. Nice to find this with some age on it. The wine was not particularly stimulating to the mind, but peppery, fruity and approachable, quenching even. At Andrew Edmunds in London
