New grape varietal for me. Combines the power of Cabernet Sauvignon and the brightness of Grenache. Aromas of bramble berries and dark cherries/currants. Hints of baking spices. Pallet is loaded with ripe berry and plum fruit followed by notes of vanilla, spice, dried herbs and toasted oak. Well integrated soft tannins. Reasonably well balanced.

Very unique old world hybrid grape between cab sav and grenache. Decanted for a hour. Definitely needs air time and ideally paired with some food. Bright mouth watering acidity. Smokey black cherry aromas. Cherry, raspberry, mushrooms, and charcoal flavors.
Unique and worth seeking out. The Garzon Uruguayan version of this grape is another example to try.
