We tasted nine Gigondas, 2003-2010, from Domaine Saint-Damien, Domaine Santa Duc and Chateau de Saint Cosme, considered by many to be the top three domaines.  This was our #3, and my #1

Good and rich but tending towards dense. The heat was also too pronounced for my tastes.

Velvety goodness that lasts. Orange zest, blackberry, black currant, tobacco

Went great with suckling pig.

Notes of lead pencil shavings, BBQ smoke and blackberries. Great mix of great mouthfeel and tannin.
