#winning It’s great when you pull a bottle out and your mother-in-law who doesn’t really drink, enjoys it! This #thetcwineclub bottle comes from the Rhône Valley in France and the Santa Duc domaine can be found in the famed town of Gigondas.

This producer uses local indigenous yeasts, low-yielding vines, small-batch methods, and minimal chemical intervention with an emphasis on respect for the fruit and land.

The wine is made from predominately Grenache with a small amount of Syrah, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon. As it’s aged in concrete vats instead of oak, I knew the fruit and earthiness of the grapes would really shine in this wine.

In the glass it’s a garnet shade with plentiful red fruits, cherries 🍒 and spiced rhubarb on the nose. In the mouth the flavours pretty much mirror the nose. It’s juicy, fruity and hella approachable.
