their Beze and Bonnes Mares are both very fine but tonight it was a bottle of 02 Bonnes Mares that I opened. The wine is the color of a young Rhone, almost impenetrable, no hint at age. Classic blue fruit, a dark wine with hints of sauvage, smokiness, plum and dark cherry, still not tertiary, a mouthful of wine with a hint of bitterness to the tannins on the finish. A very fine bottle.
