My first grand cru experience and suddenly I see what all the fuss is about. On first sniff you know that there's something serious in this glass. Big, deep, ripe, powerful fruit smothers the midpalate but is picked up by great acidity and all held together with this strong mineraly backbone. Smells of crustacean shells and tastes of pears, apples, pineapples and even a little honey. Never before have I seen such depth of flavor and complexity in a white wine. Wish I had a better sitting to explore more of this 3oz delight.
