Solid, but way too expensive for the pleasure it delivered. A touch firm atm, but there's a certain softness to the wine. Texture's velvety. Black cherries, spice, some forest floor character showing, good acidity. Could be a little more elegant imo and craving that mineral spine. A little more time opened might have done it wonders. Great with 🍕 though!

May 18th, 2019Fresh out of the bottle is very closed up and austere. Everything needs to be coaxed out of it. I would give it an 8.5 now. Needs more sleepy time :)
After 2 hours past decanting, the promise starts to show. Beautiful fruit and delicate tannins.
Nevertheless needs a long sleep before it's ready to show all it can be
