Deep, dark purple. Plenty of brambles and spice...but really, there’s nothing here that gets me excited. This is a good wine and it’s quite quaffable actually, but not particularly remarkable to me. A bit of a reminder as to why I only focus on a handful of producers in CdP anymore.

Second go around. Still took 35-45 minutes of decanting for the nose and wine to develop. But then, it was on. Red and black fruit with a little olive tapenade. This is so good

I think I’m under rating this, but time will be its friend. I knew going in this was too young, but as I’ve never had it before, why not. Popping the cork, and putting in a decanter, the first taste was a zero. There was nothing there. After about two hours, the story changed. Wild berries on the nose, red and some blue fruit on the pallet, a hint of coco. Nice acidity with good tannins structure, will lend to decades worth of cellaring.
