Popped yesterday. Open, unrefrigerated on the counter overnight. Better than my last btl, i.e., not showing overly natural characteristics. On the nose: soft strawberry, a CO_2 prickle, without being spritzy, pomegranate molasses. On the palate: good acidity, strawberry, soft plum, but disjointed, intensely grainy tannin. Not bad, but not so interesting, even for its level.

May 27th, 2021On the nose: crunchy red fruit, and rose with some dissolved CO_2 still present. On the palate: natural, with a touch of spritz, strawberry, good acidity that turns slightly prickly in conjunction with the effervescence. Soft, slightly chalky tannin that lingers for a surprisingly long time on the finish.
The words above sound, upon rereading, more positive than I am about this wine...it oerhaps leans on the flawed end of the spectrum of natural wine. Since this is my first btl from this producer, I will mark it as flawed in the hope this btl isn't representative. That being said, this is drinkable, but too "untamed" for my tastes....
