Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils
Châteauneuf-du-Pape White Rhone Blend

70 Clairette, 25 GB, 5 Bourb. Good exchange of weight/texture and a lively acidity that brings a certain fineness to the wine. This does not skimp on either, something I dont often find in blocked ML S.Rhône whites. Alluring notes of ripe white fruits and flowers, from peach and plum to balmy pears, theres a lovely thread of anise running through it. The stoniness backing it all up. Great evolution with air too.

The nose is a bit shy with lime, white peach, and subtle honey due. The palate is the real standout, expressive, bright yet viscous, with profound minerality. Long saline finish.
70% Clairette, 25% Grenache Blanc, and the rest Bourboulenc, brought up mostly in stainless steel.
