Initially reductive nose. Smoky minerals and rose petals emerging with air. Highly perfumed bouquet of sour cherries, cranberries and spices. A bit of leather coming through. There’s a driving, shimmering intensity to the fruit that gives this wine a great focus. Fairly light weight on the mid palate, but the fruit and minerality lingers with ample acidity. Food-friendly, versatile, elegant. Chambolle character really speaks here. Fine quality and Old World charm for entry level Bourgogne. Excellent.

Perot-Minot's wines have greatly improved. Pure, fragrant, elegant, and very Chambolle-like.

Bourgogne Vieilles Vignes 2010 - Perrot Minot - 33 euro.

I need more. I can’t stop smelling this glass filled with potpourri, dry dirt, ripe raspberries, red currant. Still a good tannic structure with lush acidity. My mouth just salivates right down the sides of the tongue. Then the dirt flavors kick in, minerals, red currant hits first, raspberries, dried roses, and a touch of vanilla on the finish with a hint of blood orange. This is beautiful.

Belle couleur rouge grenat. On a envie d'y croquer.

Very satisfying with ripe, off-dry flavors. This Bourgogne held well and didn’t disappoint.

Lovely floral and cherry bouquet with a hint of spice and earthy components. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced and elegant. Great entry-level Burgundy at a decent price. It paired quite nicely with sushi.
