What a playful, lively burgundy pinot! Rose petals and cherry, hay and an earthy thing. Quite inviting. The palate is wonderfully made, a strong acid drive, a silky mouthfeel which leaves a layer of tenderness on the sides and which lasts for ever, even after the fruity notes of the finish fade away, a good mater with great balance, a good, powerful mid palate with a power house of a fruit and gentle tannins that help this silky layer expand for ever. This is a serious burgundy Pinot, and I'd like to have that every time I pop up a bottle from these parts. Organic wine. It raised to challenge of a spicy (hot hot Trinidad scorpion hot) dish which is not usually a burgundy thing.
