Domaine Pellé
Menetou-Salon Morogues Pinot Noir Rosé
Been preparing the garden all day for this seasons crops, now time for relaxing. In the low 70's right now, just beautiful weather for rosé.
This bottle is starting to pick up more strawberry aspects, but prior notes still apply.
A beautiful Kimmeridgian soiled Pinot Noir! Very round and beautiful on the palate, all stainless in the process so very clean fruits. Cherry skin, minor orange zest, green melon, light tannins, very enjoyable strawberry finish, great value as a neighbor to Sancerre for under $15.

Nose has cherry skin, mashed strawberry and green melon.
Palate has fresh cut strawberry, orange zest and Kimmeridgian minerality. Medium length finish, great acid levels, touch of sweetness.
We tasted this along side the 2017, still a great bottle, but this younger bottle was really a star in comparison.
We enjoyed a tasting with Paul-Henry Pellé today, he brought all his Sauvignon Blancs and a couple Pinot Noirs. Several of the SB's were single vineyard bottles and just beautiful stuff. Most exciting was his 2018 rosé, it's not stateside yet and this was a barrel sample. Our friend is the MA distributor and she generously gifted us the remaining half bottle on our way out. Guess this will have to hold us over until May when their container arrives in port.

Happy Halloween to all! No spooky bottles in our cellar, but I do have this delicious rosé!
