After the 2009 Narbantons disaster on thanksgiving i tried the 1er Cru Aux Gravains today - this has a touch of green - so i assume some stem inclusion. It’s better but underwhelming as well really no fruit or age character after 8 years metal undertone. 2009 was hot and it seems Pavelot has picked at the wrong time too early? My advise try the 09’s from and make cellar space if you are disappointed.

Nov 26th, 2017Chestnut nose. I get some green in the glass strange for a 2009 a ripe vintage but his first flavor profile vanishes - now dark cherry, chalky and green tea? solid burgundy! Alas does not have a special twist to it. I think I could keep this another year or two but this is at its peak now. I think I will drink this up.
