Very nice chateauneuf-du-pape. Took a little while to mellow and settle down and had issues with the cork, but worth it.

Feb 1st, 2020My kind of CDP! PnP’d, well kind of, as I couldn’t get the cork out and had to chisel a hole and decant. Smoky nose with deep cherry fruit. Very refined, but heavy sediment. Drink very soon!

Garnet color, with early signs of bricking. More feminine style of CdP, with the Grenache really shining through. Red fruit, barnyard, cinnamon. Resolved tannins, but enough acidity to carry it for years to come.
