Coiled and reticent, with a brooding character and a certain ripe sweet mass but intense 08 acidity plus a fair amount of tannins push it out of mind quickly on the palate; nose and palate give some leather with tiny chocolate mint allusions. Expressive enough to enjoy but clearly asking for more aging, although I wonder how much more rewarding it will become.

A terrific combination of primary fruit with a full expression of secondary flavor and a long finish. All oak is resolved. Bright acidity throughout. No gaps in this wine. Perfect time to drink this bottle.
